Terms of Service
Effective 28 April 2026
These terms govern your use of eHR (the “Platform”), operated by the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC) (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Internship registration is open to Somali nationals only, identified by a NIRA national ID.
- Professional licensure is open to Somali nationals (NIRA) and to foreign-trained applicants (passport + country). Foreign-trained applicants must additionally provide an NCHE equivalence certificate.
- You must hold the educational and clinical credentials NHPC requires for the profession you are applying for.
2. Your account
- Authentication is by Google sign-in. You are responsible for the security of your Google account.
- The information you submit must be true, accurate, and your own. Submitting falsified credentials may result in disqualification, licence revocation, and referral to the relevant authorities.
- One person, one profile. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent application or review rules.
3. Application fees
- Fees are set by NHPC and displayed inside the app at the time of application. All fees are in US dollars.
- Fees are non-refundable. If an application is rejected or you withdraw, you must re-pay to reapply.
- Payments are processed by WaafiPay. We do not store full card or wallet numbers on the Platform.
4. Review and licensing
- Applications go through a three-stage NHPC review: Officer → Head of Licensing & Accreditation → Secretary General.
- Reviewers may request additional information, advance the application to the next stage, reject it, or approve it.
- On approval, NHPC issues a licence with a unique number (
EH-<PROF>-<YEAR>-<NNNNN>), valid for 365 days. Renewal is handled inside the app. - NHPC retains discretion to deny, suspend, or revoke a licence where required by law, public-safety considerations, or professional misconduct findings.
- Issued licences are publicly verifiable at /verify.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content you do not own the rights to, or that is unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent.
- Attempt to access another user's data, the reviewer queue, or super-admin tools without authorisation.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Platform's normal operation.
- Misrepresent licence status — for example, present an expired or revoked licence as current.
6. Continuing professional development (CPD)
CPD courses delivered inside eHR are priced and paid through the Platform. Externally authorised providers may also be recognised; in those cases you upload the certificate and a reviewer verifies it. Course content is the responsibility of the course provider, not eHR.
7. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
8. Availability and support
We aim for the Platform to be available around the clock but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages do happen. For support, email info@ehr.so.
9. Disclaimers and liability
eHR is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the application fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by writing to info@ehr.so. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where NHPC instructs us to. A terminated account does not erase a licence already issued — that record stays with NHPC.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts in Mogadishu.
12. Changes to these terms
When we make material changes we will publish the new terms here and update the effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
